The Minetto United Methodist Church Board of Trustees (the Trustees) consists of three to nine elected persons who supervise and maintain all property belonging to the congregation so that all ministries can be effective. They work closely with the church’s Charge Conference and Administrative Council.
The Trustees have several legal and administrative functions. They are:
- Oversee, maintain, and supervise all church property.
- Report annually to the Charge Conference regarding the state of the church property, equipment, investments, and resources.
- Receive and administer all gifts that come to the congregation and make sure that all funds are secure.
- Ensure that all articles of incorporation of the church are kept up to date.
- Maintain adequate insurance coverage on all church property.
- Along with the pastor, be responsible for all use of the church properties.
- Submit an annual budget request to the Finance Committee for adequate insurance and maintenance.
