Warmest May Greetings, Dear Family & Friends!

What an amazing week we shared in preparation & in hosting the Minetto UMC 2025 Spring Rummage Sale.

We thank God for our dedicated organizers, Carla Salisbury & Lynne Hawksby; for the many donations & enthusiastic helpers throughout the week of April 28-May 3! God richly blessed the work of our faith community. To God be the Glory!

Reflecting on our week together brought to mind this verse from Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10a: “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out & help” (NLT).

What a gift to know that God didn’t create us to be alone. We are better together!

We need each other. We need Christian fellowship. We need the support & encouragement of other believers weekly, & better yet, daily. We are better off with a friend—or friends-- to share in our God-given daily ‘assignments’; joys & concerns.

Jesus intentionally sent out his disciples & apostles in pairs to do his work; an example of the power of teamwork & shared responsibility.

The enormous task of sorting, organizing & placing clothing for our guests to look through would have been overwhelming without teamwork. We experienced the grace & strengthening of the Lord as we worked through bags upon bags of clothing each day. I was reminded that Jesus’ said, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Thank God for his presence among us throughout the week as we prepared; & welcomed the community on Thursday afternoon, Friday & Saturday mornings. Many joyful moments, laughter & happy memories were shared!

We need each other. We need Christian fellowship. We need the support & encouragement of other believers weekly, & even better, daily.

When our lives are woven together in God’s love, we are strengthened physically (“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Phil. 4: 13); emotionally & spiritually. What a blessing to be joined together in God’s love & care for one another.

Thank you, Lord, for your abundant gifts of love & grace!

Held in his amazing grace,

Pastor Maureen
